Customizable Data Types

Use this window to save or restore customizable data for the Hardware Management Console Application. The types of customizable data that can be saved or restored are:

Object instance data

This type data consists of the acceptable status settings and activation profiles associated with objects.

Panel instance data

This type of data consists of the colors, fonts, size, and positions of windows displayed by the Hardware Management Console Application.

Group data

This type of data consists of the user group definitions for the Hardware Management Console Application.

Status colors and/or patterns

This type of data consists of status color settings, which are found in the Hardware Management Console Settings task.

User profile and domain security data

This type of data consists of the user identifications, passwords, and domain security information for the Hardware Management Console Application.

Additional customizable console data

Other types of customizable console data may be available for your Hardware Management Console Application. Each additional check box indicates an additional type of customizable console data is available. Select an additional check box to save or restore the customizable console data indicated by its label.

By saving and then restoring one or more of these types of customizable data, multiple Hardware Management Consoles can easily be tailored to have the same user IDs, user groups, domain, and appearance.
